About our SocietyThe society was started in 1964 and since that time we have produced and published a great deal of research about our heritage and have promoted the conservation of the area through consultation with the local council, arranging lectures and conferences, mounting exhibitions for the local community and the formation of various working parties (e.g. Woodlands; Manor Farm). We are a varied group of people of different ages, with one common interest - our local heritage! For some, the society provides a social, yet informative outlet. For others it provides a setting for research and discussion. In order to share some of our interest with the local community, we have mounted exhibitions in Manor Farm House as part of the London Borough of Hillingdon Arts Service and Medieval Festival. We meet on the third Monday of the month from September to April at 8.15pm in St. Martin's Church Hall, High Street, Ruislip. For details see the programme. During the summer we organise several outings and walks/tours. Cost of individual membership is £12.00 We also welcome 'Corresponding Members'. For details of this or any membership enquiry, please contact the Membership Secretary. Our Committee:
